Today is the Earth day, celebrated around the world to show appreciation for our planet and to promote environmental protection. Mostly, it’s the day we use to share beautiful images of nature, and not much more, unfortunately. So much of our daily actions work against that very same nature, whether it be our shopping choices, our use of plastics, transportation, or waste management.

I myself could do a lot better in this area – my recycling efforts are the bare minimum. I recycle plastic bottles and collect plastic and paper in general (which stands in my recycling bag for over two months now). I recycle clothes, I have reusable bags for produce and carry my own shopping bags everywhere. I use soaps and shampoo bars, mooncup, I buy in bulk whenever I can. I also participate in many cleaning actions and organize some of them.
A little less conversation, a little more action, please.
WHAT PLANET EARTH WOULD PROBABLY SAY TO US ALL ON THIS DAY
I am also lucky enough to be working on a project about waste management and education. As a part of this project, we developed a coloring book for children, to teach them about waste, recycling, and actions they can take to help protect the environment. Feel free to download it, print it, and use it to teach your kids about this important topic!
Book is only available in Croatian since it was produced for children in Croatia, specifically on island Brač, but I still hope it will be of use to you and your kids. If you like it, feel free to share it with other parents!

Thank you for stopping by and hopefully sharing this with your friends!
This colouring book is such a nice idea! It’s also lovely to see you blogging! Keep up the good job.

Thank you! If you try it out, let me know how was it. Being written in Croatian might be a bit challenging, but I hope still useful!
